EUREKA, CA – This May, two students from Dell’Arte International’s Master of Fine Arts program are partnering with local non-profit “Trajectory” to create an original Clown show with the organization’s members.
Jordan Rosin & Evan Grande, 2nd year students at Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre will be meeting with members of the Trajectory Performance Ensemble twice weekly for five weeks to teach the group the fundamentals of theatrical Clowning and coach the group’s members in the creation of original clown acts. The partnership will culminate in a public presentation of these acts at the monthly Synapsis cabaret at Synapsis Nova on June 2 at 9pm.
This project is one of several Community-Based Arts projects undertaken each year by 2nd year students in Dell’Arte’s masters program as part of their training in the socially conscious and community-engaged work of the Actor-Creator.


Jordan Rosin is a physical theatre artist and teacher, specializing in Butoh Dance. He also draws on yoga, clowning, and acrobatics to create theatre and dance events with popular and poetic resonance. Jordan was co-founder & Producing Artistic Director of the The Ume Group (NYC) from 2011-2016; is a frequent collaborator with Ren Gyo Soh; and creator of DREAM DANCES™. He received his BFA in Drama from Syracuse University and is currently pursuing an MFA in Physical Theatre from Dell’Arte International. Trajectory is A career development program for visual, literary and performing artists in Humboldt County, CA, and a program of The Ink People Center for the Arts.
